My Interpretation of Street Photography in Vienna

Street photography is often called the supreme discipline of photography. The mix of capturing fleeting moments, seeing the light, and being the quiet observer has fascinated me ever since I first picked up a camera back in 2013.

This time, I set out again in my hometown Vienna with my Fujifilm X100V, trying to capture moments as authentically as possible. I wandered slightly off the beaten tourist paths, looking for scenes that felt genuine, yet still carried the charm and character of this city.

For me, street photography is less about chasing the spectacular and more about finding meaning in the everyday—those subtle gestures, fleeting expressions, and small interactions that make a place feel alive. Vienna, with its timeless architecture and vibrant streets, offers endless opportunities to pause, observe, and press the shutter at just the right time.
