Documentary Photography & Storytelling

I'm Lukas Mari, a documentary photographer based in Vienna. I photograph things as they happen, close in and without staging them, and I care most about the moments people usually miss.

Some of what I shoot: bands and concerts, from the soundcheck to the last song of the night. The places that give a city its character, a café, a bar, a small shop, and the people who run them. And documentary work for institutions and organisations that would rather be shown honestly than polished into an advertisement.

It doesn't have to be a big production to be worth doing. Tell me what you have in mind, where it is, and roughly when. We work out the scope and the cost together, since every project is different. Then I photograph it and hand you a finished, edited set of images you can use.
